Drew, a talented high school student passionate about coding, embarked on a journey to explore computer science career paths and develop her technical skills. Inspired by her father's battle with Lyme disease, she conceptualized a health-focused app to help sufferers track symptoms and access resources. Through comprehensive mentorship with Kaitlyn, Drew progressed from exploring CS careers to designing wireframes to implementing complex features like AI chatbots—ultimately creating Lyme-Aid, an award-winning app that combined her interests in technology and healthcare.

Building on her award-winning app development experience, Drew plans to continue refining Lyme-Aid while exploring the intersection of computer science and healthcare technology. She's particularly interested in creating accessible digital health solutions that combine her technical skills with her passion for helping others. As she prepares for college applications, Drew is considering programs that will allow her to further explore computer science with applications in psychology and healthcare. Her experience winning the Congressional App Challenge has reinforced her confidence as a woman in STEM and her desire to pursue a career in technology that makes a meaningful impact on people's lives.
