I grew up in Germany and Singapore but went to college in the US. After college I worked at a boarding school and ran a small organization helping young leaders make a difference - so education has always been very close to my heart. I then worked at KPMG Germany, building mental health programs, until I moved back to the US. For the past 4 years, I've been in climate tech in California and am now very excited about my new social impact chapter at CC! I am obsessed with partner dancing (primarily salsa, bachata, hustle) and am spending most of my free time on the dance floor!
My favorite podcasts are Invisibilia and Hidden Brain (incredibly engaging stories for anyone interested in psychology!) and my favorite books are The Power of Moments and The Culture Code.
I was lucky to get a scholarship to one of Asia's leading international school's when I was 16, where I got to learn from some of the best educators in the world. I learned so much more than just academics: thinking critically, reflecting thoughtfully and taking responsibility for the world. The staff at my boarding house, in particular, taught me so much about creating community - and my psychology teacher helped me see how psychology applies to almost everything we do. I owe a big part of how I approach my career to them.
My transition from climate tech into edtech once again proved to me the importance of following a big picture value (rather than chasing a specific job title), so enabling people to articulate and pursue their North Star's is something I'm very passionate about!
Create amazing learning experiences not just for students but also for mentors!
